NYU freshman Transfer

hey so i applied to NYU for freshman year but was wait listed! and i never got off the waitlist so i want to apply to NYU for spring transfer and i was wondering what are the chances of being accepted as a spring transfer student. i called the school and they said you are allowed to transfer for spring semester but i wanted to know the likely hood i would get in.

i want to do pre-med so i'm probably going to major in something like Bio or Chem. I'm currently at GW in a selective (only 15 students were selected) Honors Sciences Research program (i don't know if this will impress NYU).

my high school GPA is a 3.87 so i graduated with High honors and i took 6 AP classes i passed them all with anywhere from 3-5 score
i did high school robotics and volunteered at a saturday education facility
my SAT is a little low at 1950 since i know NYU likes 2000+ but i'm taking it again in September

So what are my chances? is NYU usually good about admitting transfer students?

You’re at an excellent school in a very selective science research program that is giving you extraordinary opportunities to do the things that lead to med school.

Do you realize that, at NYU, you’d be one of a horde of premeds competing in weedout courses? You’d have ample exposure to graduate teaching assistants rather than professors. And, because financial aid at NYU is so skimpy and costs are so high, you’d be paying a great deal of money for these dubious privileges.

Your chances for transfer may depend somewhat on the number of students leaving for the spring semester. J hope you aren’t trying to transfer because you think NYU has some sort of prestige.

NYU has just always been my dream for all of high school. I feel no attachment to GW or DC, NYC and NYU is where i feel a strong draw to.

Do you have any information about facts of figures of spring transfer?
