<p>NYU's financial aid is notoriously bad; it is mostly because of their lack of endowment (they have a much smaller endowment that other similar large universities). There is, however, a lot of merit-based aid to recruit the best students.</p>
<p>If you have your heart set on Stern, apply ED. If you're relatively qualified, they'll see that; worst comes to worst they'll defer you. Still, getting into Stern is not easy, so be sure to have other options.</p>

<p>I keep hearing about all these invites people keep getting. Now there is an invite out to people who applied to CAS. I am guessing that getting an invite pretty much means that you are in. Still, is it possible to get into NYU if you don't recieve an invite to anything or does this mean that you are pretty much rejected?</p>
<p>nope you can still be admitted, invites are just for the top people</p>
<p>yes, most people won't hear back until the normal response date; don't get too worried.</p>
