I have a few questions. I was deferred from Gallatin after ED, and it’s my understanding that about 550/6000 kids who applied ED were deferred. Does anyone know about how many kids get in ED to Gallatin and how many kids usually get in RD to Gallatin? I’d assume that if you even apply to Gallatin, it would be an ED. Just because of the size and the fact that so many people don’t know about it. I can’t seem to find these stats anywhere so if anyone could help that’d be super helpful. Thanks a ton!
Hi there! I currently go to Gallatin (Class of 2020) and applied EDII and was accepted. I know acceptance rates are going down and Gallatin is trying to level its competitiveness with Stern and Tisch — although not to the same low percentage. Gallatin has been getting more applications in recent years due to the program itself and the number of successful names that went there in recent years. From what I remember about 650-800 kids apply to Gallatin each year and only 30% of them get in. When we had orientation at the beginning of the year, there were only about 200 kids in the room so most people accept their offers. Hope this helps!
Could you please answer some admissions questions about gallatin for me
I am also deferred by Gallatin at ED1, from what I’ve heard, acceptance after deferral is pretty low so maybe we should start considering other college options~
