Hey all. I posted this in the NYU forum as well, but since this is the arts forum I'll stick to the art programs at both colleges.

NYU has the obvious benefits of NYC -- considering that I hope to go into advertising/design/fashion, there's really no better environment than NYU. However, I'm not sure how free the Gallatin program is in choosing art courses and if it gives me better opportunities to find a job AFTER graduating.

Wesleyan on the other hand doesn't have anything "special" in terms of visual arts, but I know that the student body is a bit more "arts inclined" than some other universities. The location isn't bad -- a few hours from major cities like NYC, and the academics are strong.

I got into the BHA program at CMU, which would be the only school of the three where I would be enrolled in an arts concentration. Again, Pittsburgh doesn't offer the same outside opportunities as NYC, but I know the CMU arts program is very strong. Student body is important to me, and I've also heard negative qualities about CMU's "anti-social" and somewhat segregated (in terms of the arts and science colleges) undergraduate body -- if I'm wrong here, then definitely let me know ;)

Anyway, I think that's roughly what my thoughts on each of these schools has been... at the moment, I'm leaning toward Wesleyan and NYU, but I just don't know what decisions to make!! aaaaa
