I'm a high school senior interested in NYU. I want to do their Freshman abroad programs but I don't want to be a liberal arts major. Does anyone know if GLS at NYU is strictly liberal arts? Is there any way I can apply into College of Arts and Sciences and still do freshman year abroad? And does anyone know how to apply to that?

Bump - can someone please help me answer this :/

Global Liberal Studies is a liberal arts majr. Personally, I would ecommend avoiding any major whose name makes no sense. English, Music, Political Science, Engineering, and Business all mean what they look like they mean, but “Global Liberal Studies” is just a generic liberal arts degree concocted by some overpaid, woollyheaded prof. The good news is that you can do study-abroad within the framework of a GLS program, but there’s no need to do the GLS program since all liberal arts programs can incorporate a study-abroad program.
