Does anyone think that it will be harder to get into NYU this year?

2008 and 2009 are mini "baby booms" so there are a ton of applicants both years so it is harder at all schools because they are seeing record amounts of applications.

NYU (like most colleges) gets harder to get into every year. However, I don't think the class of '09 will have as much difficulty as class of '08, simply because the class of '08 was extremely big and I think (not completely sure) class of '09 is slightly smaller, so there's less competition.

I remember when I applied to NYU last year, the schools acceptance rate was 28%. I read somewhere it went down to 25% this year, but that is partially due to class size.

I read somewhere as molly4190 said, that the class of 2008 is and was the largest college application pool for all time across the country and that it will start to decline now.

That's such a relief that it won't get any more competitive.
