THANKS SO MUCH FOR YOUR TIME!!!

ok first of all what is your unweighted GPA? As that's the GPA that NYU and most colleges look at. Your brothers won't affect you at all (in my opinion) because they didn't go to NYU. Your race will help you a LOT. Try to get that 29 on the ACT or get a 1250+ on the SAT.

I'd suggest applying to more schools than just NYU as some safeties, and matches, maybe try Brandeis (match), Rutgers College (safety), Purdue (match), possibly even Tufts (reach).

Overall chances at NYU: 40-50%. (my personal opinion)
If you raise the SAT score 1250+ or ACT to 29: 50-60%. (my personal opinion).

thanks for the input baggypants much appreciated. anyone have any opinion on the stats for nyu school of social work

Raising your ACT seven points is very rare, but I guess It can be done, so best of luck.
