GPA 94.83 (W) 9/499
SAT- 1690 highest one sitting
ACT-26 one Sitting will take on Dec.13
Recs- Great
Essay- Very weak I think overall a terrible writer
Applying RD

GPA - 84.6
SAT - 2150: 710 CR/640 M/800 W
APs: 5 - World History, English Lang., US Hist, 4 - US Gov’t (taken 10 total in HS counting senior year)
ACT - 32 (Registered to take it again in Dec., likely won’t sit)
Recs - One easily a 10/10 and will likely be what gets me a second look despite my GPA. Other unknown, though the teacher knows me well.
Essay - Common app 8.5-9/10. Supplement 9/10.
Essays (and interviews for the schools that offer them) are the strongest part of my application by far.
Applying ED II.

Interesting how my stats compare with that of the user above me. Best of luck to you.

@playforever are hoping for HEOP

Yes @fahi12, though it looks like I’ll be at a bit of a disadvantage since my stats suggest talented slacker (at a competitive school as well). Aren’t too many first gen lowest income bracket URMs running around with my test numbers though, so I’m actually really interested to see how I do myself.

so ur from NY. wat h.s.

wow, those stats r great

my stat

Looks like i’ll be doing ed 2 to NYU

GPA: 94 ish
SAT: 1830 superscored

EC: mostly science related

anyone doing ED II?

what major r u guys applying for

have u guys apply yet

I sent in my application two days ago.
Received advice that applying ED for a HEOP slot isn’t the best idea, since you’ll still be competing against the stronger applicant pool. I’ve decided to RD.

do u guys know when is the heop info session begin? also what is the acceptance rate for heop at nyu?
i applied undecided to CAS. @playforever I also did RD
did u guys submit all the materials yet
yah. I submitted all my materials. Guys I got December ACT score and got a 24 so I dropped. Is this a disadvantage for me.
I don’t think so, NYU use your highest score when they look at your application
@BabyPanda33 yah thats wat i heard from a current HEOP student
@fahi12 do u know if we have to send in our mid year reports. i looked at all the other forms and some of them say yes and some say no. my grades doesnt come out until mid feb. i kinda worried becuz i think by the time nyu gets my report, they may be dont review all the apps.
I think i will call the admission office b/c my mid-year grades come out at about the same time.
@BabyPanda33 r u in the NYU class of 2019 fb page.
