NYU hopeful (huge reach)

Just wanting some other opinions
(intended major Steindhart - communications if that helps)
Applying RD.

Stats:
Gender: Male
Ethnicity: Asian (korean to be more exact)
First generation college student
Location: Fort Worth suburbs in Texas

GPA - 3.85ish uw
Rank: 14/435 (top 4%) GPA is what I've got going for me xD

SAT's
Math 630
Verbal 570
Writing 610
(1200/1810 for those who are lazy :P)

SAT Subjects - not sure yet, took them in December but I did very well on math and not so hot on physics.

EC's are average (nothing really standing out)
Essay in my opinion was unique along with personal statements
Reccomendations are going to be amazing I believe because my teacher sees a lot of potential in me

All I ask is for everyone to be realistic with me. I have my own opinions and I won't be hurt by others no matter how cruel. NYU is definately my number one school and I'd accept an admissions in a heartbeat.

Ok, appreciate it everyone!

Oh and I take the most rigorous classes available at my school.

It’s only a reach because of your SAT score. Could you possibly test stand-by for the ACT this weekend? My SAT was only a bit higher than yours, and I somehow pulled a 31 with no studying whatsoever.

I think if you can do that, and of course score optimally, you’re in. I think you could definitely get into GSP right now. I’ve heard (from admitted students) that, at NYU, essays are really the tipping point, and you say that the one you wrote is good.

how is that a hugh reach, i think u have a great chance!!!

What score should I shoot for on the ACT?

At least a 28. With your GPA, you could probably get by with a 27, however.

bump bump bump

any other opinions?
