<p>I called up the housing office today with some questions regarding freshman housing for next year. The guy said that anyone who submits the completed housing app by june 1st is placed into the lottery, and the early decision kids did not get priority. He said that they have changed this year. Does anyone know if this is true? I checked the NYU housing website (it was only for spring 2011, not fall) and it said that Early decision people had priority. Any help would be greatly appreciated.</p>
<p>Yep, There is now a new Housing Policy that puts everyone, ED and RD students, on an equal footing. This was made public on this forum on previous threads.</p>

<p>I think you get a housing application in a matter of days or maybe within a week or so of your paying the Enrollment Deposit of $500 (deadline of May1). Then you complete the Housing App and pay the Housing Deposit of $1000 by June 1. After that, all apps go into a lottery and Housing assignments go out late July? to early August.</p>
<p>Has anyone heard about freshman housing assignments for fall 2012?</p>
