Anyone receive any email regarding housing after paying the deposit?

stages,
If I recollect correctly, the admission package with the Candidate’s Reply Form had some info about housing application forms (written and/ or online) being made available around May 1st?. So presumably, even if the deposit is sent back now in early April, the housing application will not be sent out immediately.
This is my best remembrance of the Admission Packet and related housing info. Do check your Admission packet contents again to confirm what I remember.

OK, More info after going back and reviewing the “General Instructions” booklet. Under “Housing” it is mentioned that a space will be reserved for you in student housing once your Candidate’s Reply Form and $800 deposit ($300 for housing, $500 tuition) are received. Then the Dept. of Housing Services will contact you IN MAY with more detailed info and instructions on completing the ONLINE housing application. Deadline for completion of the online housing application is June 3, 2010. Also, a $1000 housing reservation fee will be due by 6/3/10. The housing deposit and reservation fee will both be credited toward the Fall 2010 term charges.

Hope this provides more clarity on the housing matter.

Do students who requested financial aid have to pay this 1,000$ deposit also? Can they use money from loans or something like that? Or does it come directly from their pocket?

That has to be paid irregardless of your financial aid status. Your financial aid award dont really start Til the actual semester starts. This housing deposit is done every year for your next 4 yrs.
