NYU housing

Hey everyone....

Can anyone here recommend what housing to choose at NYU.

Someone recommended the Goddard Hall. I will be doing pre-medicine there so please suggest accordingly.

thanx :):)

i dont really think majors matter in choosing the dorms. But, i would recommend getting a dorm closer to campus… especially because a lot of my pre-med friends have 8AM classes. and being farther away somewhat means more likely to skip more classes? haha.
the closest ones are weinstein, goddard, and hayden. good thing about weinstein is that it has a food court that’s open until really late and also a dining hall but the rooms… not a lot of people like it. people say they are like jail cells. i think goddard has small rooms too? ive never seen goddard before. hayden has the biggest rooms out of those 3, i think. but hayden’s kinda old.
brittany and rubin are pretty close to campus too but it’s pretty old too which is probably why they are i think the cheapest out of all the dorms if you get the low-cost rooms. brittany’s rooms are bigger. both of them dont have ACs… i live in rubin and not having an AC hasnt been a problem for me yet… but its getting pretty hot so we’ll see.
if you want an apartment style with a kitchen, 3rd north is good and i think their rooms are pretty nice too… some of the rooms have been renovated this summer. but its farther from campus than the other freshmen dorms. founders is close to 3rd north so its far from campus too but it has nice rooms.
i think it just depends on your preference… do you want low-cost? closer to campus? nice rooms? kitchen?
