NYU - I have 3 questions! Please HELP!

Hello all! I am a current senior in high school and I have recently been interested in colleges up in the Northeast. Concerning NYU, I have three questions:

Do I have a good chance of getting in?
My SAT score is practically a 1700 (1690) and my GPA is a 3.9 (UW) 4.1 (W). I also have quite a few extracurriculars; I participate in 4 clubs, two of them being BETA (Hospitality committee founder and leader) and French Honors Society (also VP of the French Club), started a blanket donation at my school for a homeless shelter, and translated two books from Portuguese to English. My grades as shown on my transcript are all A's except for two (85 in physical science and 74 in math 1), and I have all A's this year (except for a high B, which I am trying to change). I will graduate with 8 AP classes and an IB certificate in French. I am also a minority (Brazilian).

Is there a possibility they could give me money? Do they provide many scholarship opportunities?
My family has an annual income between 70-80k, but only my stepfather works. Based on my grades, could I get anything?

What are other good college options similar to NYU? I am looking for a good school that would offer me a good sum of money.

I think that your SAT scores are a bit low for NYU, but other than that you seem like you are somewhat within range. However, I think you should consider other schools because NYU is notoriously awful with financial aid.

Thank you for your input! I will definitely consider it.

I think you’d get in, but you aren’t getting scholarship money. I’m sorry, that’s kind of just how NYU works. You’ve gotta be top of the incoming class, basically Ivy material, to get merit money.
