So today I open my e-mail inbox and get really axited cuz there's somtehing from NYU (hopefully my pin number and application confirmation! =D). And wasn't I surprised to discover it was just a propaganda inviting me to "explore" NYU and apply. BUT I ALREADY DID. DAYS AGO.

Haven't they received my app?? It already says its downloaded!! What about my pin and confirmation?

OMG. Am I just frieking out over a stupid late e-mail?

This is just an example of the right hand not knowing what the left hand is doing. Probably two different people are responsible for separate tasks, marketing vs. receiving and acknowledging apps. I wouldn’t sweat it. Eventually things will get caught up.

That’s probably because you’re on the NYU mailing list? Is it one of those normal emails from schools asking everyone to apply? I keep getting ones from Columbia…

I think it’s totally normal. I got my NYU application confirmation with the Net ID, and then I was sent the marketing email right after. It’s part of their mailing list.
