NYU Jazz Studies audition experiences?

I've surmised that my student's jazz studies audition will be a jam session format. The invitation says to bring a "program style biography" but it's not clear what that is. Can anyone who's recently auditioned for the jazz program at Steinhardt explain what a program style biography consists of?

Weird I don’t remember our son (who auditioned there two years ago) having to do that. My guess is that they want you to do a write up about yourself just as you would see if you were in a “Playbill”. So for example:
Johnny D is a graduating senior at F High School. He has been studying under XXX and YYY. He has been involved in the FHS jazz orchestra and small combo for X number of years, winning the T and Z award at the MSchool Jazz Festival. He is also a talented composer and has his own side group that has performed locally at various venues……

Hopefully that is the idea.

Thanks, we’ll go with that; it’s a biography in the style of a performance program.

My son, now a senior at USC Thornton, did the bio when he auditioned at NYU four years ago. He put a photo centered at the top and then about a third of a page bio about him below. The audition was indeed a jam session and his favorite audition anywhere by miles.
