NYU Journalism major

Can anyone with experience or some exposure to the program tell me about it. Specifically I have a few clarification questions.
1.) What are the concentrations about? I just don't understand them in depth...
2.) Does it seem incredibly impossible to do along with a double major? (to be more vocal in an area, I hope to be a musical theatre or straight acting in an aspiration to work for playbill or the times in the theatre department)
3.) What opportunities arise that set this program apart?

Just flat out stories or recommendations and descriptions are appreciated. THANK YOU!!

I would email someone in the department about questions 1 and 3 as they would be best able to guide you there.

I’m not sure that it is possible to double major with musical theater or acting. Both of those programs are 1. audition based and extremely competitive, and 2. leave pretty much no room for anything other than a minor outside of required classes and studio time.

Journalism is also a required double major, so all journalism majors must have a second major in CAS

@jazzcatastrophe Aww, thanks for crushing the dream there  Haha just kidding, thanks, I needed to know this before I applied. Thank you.
