I have legacy because my mom graduated from NYU with 3 masters degrees from NYU Poly and she worked there briefly as a research analyst.

I am tried to write outstandingly stellar essays so that my IB grades do not weight me down.

I had an upward trend in 9th and 10th grade but in 11th grade I switched to a boarding school in a different country and my grades significantly dropped (from straight 6s to 4s and 5s) and I had a really long and hard adjustment period. I am planning on explaining this on Common App.

My recommendations are from an old chemistry teacher in my old school with which who I performed well with and my current math teacher.

Although I am a NYC Resident (I know it wont help cause NYU is a private school, im just putting it out there) as well as a US Citizen who lives in a boarding school abroad.

I am applying to NYU to their Core LSP Program.

No need for financial aid.

Well you academics are decent and no tests scores might hurt, but being in IB is definitely seen as a plus because of the course rigor. Your ECs are also very well, with a nice mix of leadership positions and service work. I’d say if you wrote great essays and got good recs, youre a match.

My thread (chance pls): <a href=“Chances for Vanderbilt, UNC, NYU, UF, and Duke? - Chance Me / Match Me! - College Confidential Forums”>http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1610985-chances-for-vanderbilt-unc-nyu-uf-and-duke-p1.html</a></p>

BUMP.

Your ECs are good but maybe your grades no tests.

Chance me please : http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1612069-chances-to-get-into-yale-brown-tufts-emory-nyu-georgetown-george-washington.html#latest</a></p>

You should def consider sending in some kind of standardized testing. Otherwise you’re a go

I have already submitted my app. I hear back in like 11 days. Would it really hurt me that much? I mean, whats the point of even offering a test flexible option if you aren’t gonna consider kids who apply with it. I know my grades are pretty low, but do you think my lack of SATs really hurt that much?

BUMP.

BUMP

You should submit some type of test. ACT of SAT.
Id say a reach without the tests but if you turn one in with a good score it would be a match
please chance me
