This isn't exactly a chance me thing, but by what I have so far, would you think New York University is a match or a reach?

SAT: around 2100
My ACT score is around 28-33...can't remember ATM. Sorry!

NYU is fairly stats based when it comes to admissions. You have a 4.0 GPA, which looks very good. Try and get a 31 on the ACT, to make admissions a high match. Get a 32 or higher, to make admissions a match. You seem to be a rising senior, so it is odd why you haven’t yet taken the SAT or ACT.

Sorry, kinda forgot those for a moment >.<

If you got a 2100, but lower than a 30 ACT, submit only the SAT. If you got a 2100 SAT, and a 30 ACT, submit both.

If you do that, with everything else that you have, you are a probable match.

Thanks for the information, I’ll try and see if I can dig up my ACT score…it’s buried somewhere! :)

Bumping up the post!

what school in NYU

@nejworld Um…not sure what you’re asking, did you mistake NYC(New York City) for NYU(New York University)?

Unless you mean what school within NYU I would like to major in? :O

yea ofc since different schools within NYU are looking for different things, for example one guy at my school got into NYU Liberal studies core program since thats the easiest program to get into and hes a complete idiot whereas I’m in top 5% and got into Stern. If you’re looking to get into Tisch it emphasizes heavily on the arts whereas you’re probably applying to CAS which by looking at your stats you’re a match for

I’m thinking of NYU’s Law school. Their law school is top 10, so I think that would be a great school to get into. Would that be more of a reach or match for me?

wat, you can’t just start with law, you have to get your bachelor’s degree first [NYU Law - Admissions](http://www.law.nyu.edu/admissions/index.htm) no matter where you want to attend law school

Ya… You can’t do law just out of high school. NYU looks like a match-high match for you. If you want to do law school in the future, then nyu does have a pre law program. (Remember, there is no specific undergrad major for law school)

@nejworld Oh, I know, just simply mean that what I would eventually want to get into, I guess everyone starts somewhere, but I just kinda want to aim ahead already I’m already taking political science/US government classes currently and also a pre-college prep course for law, but if anything, I think it would be good place to start.

For me, I guess I would just be undecided for a while, still caught in between wanting to do business and law and visual arts so it all depends on whether I get in and later what types of influences are put on me :)

@chrisworld2 I would really hope that it’s a match by the end of all of this, but no guarantees, still got more than a year! Thanks for your input!
