Hey everyone! Just wanted to start this thread for those who applied to nyu's music business program in steinhardt. Has anyone heard any news yet?

Nope...haven't heard anything.

This whole application experience has been odd. I rarely could find any stats on how many people apply for this program, especially not for grad. level. Which makes it even more unnerving.

Did you submit GRE scores? I decided not to submit, b/c I really don't well with standardized tests. But I had a pretty decent gpa, work experience, and multiple volunteer activities.....and I also elaborated on my personal hardships that I experienced during undergrad too.

I applied to U Miami too....but with my GRE scores, I'm not sure how that'll turn out....LOL.

I was so hoping someone would have by now! lol.. im applying as an undergrad! but i also applied to u of miami.. hope these go over well because my sats were really bad!! not what they look for! lol

i got my acceptance letter yesterday for the undergrad music bus. program.

my stats weren't great either (definitely below par for NYU), so i wouldn't worry. i think they really take overall personality into consideration.

thanks collegebroski! that makes me feel soo much better! lol im so freakin anxious! congrats x's 10000000!
oh yea and did u get a letter or an invite?

Congrats collegebroski!

What were your stats exactly? (That's if you don't mind posting). How many music-related activities were you involved in b/f applying?

I live in North Carolina, so there are very few music business opportunities around here. I worked in marketing/promotions for radio....and did concert promotion. But living in such a rural area....there's not much more I could have done. I hope they take that into consideration for me.

yea i was gonna ask him the same thing! how were your stats collegebroski?
