“We expect that all admissions decisions will be sent via email on December 13th after 5pm (Eastern Standard Time) for Early Decision I candidates”

SO THIS IS LIKE, afternoon??? not morning??

@RCLVRR Maybe your FA message will change tomorrow, I heard it changed on the day of the decisions for some people. What are your stats, if you don’t mind me asking?

We are now ahead of schedule and will, in fact, be able to mail admission decisions via email on December 13 beginning in the very early (pre-dawn) hours.

Emily: I saw a post on the blog that they were ahead of schedule so the decisions are going to be sent early morning…unless there has been another update?

@rogahen that’s a little reassuring then. Hopefully mine changes tomorrow! My stats r not that stellar… I go to a difficult private school and I have a little over 3.5 UW but my W is 3.9. I am in the IB diploma so I decided to send in my predicted scores instead (39/45)… I’m dying to know of I got in even though I know it’s gonna be rly unlikely… Oh and I applied to stern

@emily LOL im asian too dont worry! I just really messed up freshman and sophmore year but my upward trend is significant (3.58 sophmore year to 4.32 junior year) and im taking 6 a.ps this year so i really really really hope they can overlook the some bad grades!!

@spongebob I feel you man. NYU obviously stresses grades more because its Stern, but im praying for a miracle. I would be devastated if I get rejected since NYU has always been my dream school (cliche yes yes)

I read somewhere that cas mainly looks at sat scores since there are so many applicants, what do you guys think? I applied to cas with a 2250, and my gpa is like 3.8 uw and like a few ecs but nothing spectacular. I’m freaking out since I actually have no idea if I’ll get in or not!

from what everybodys been saying i’m fairly sure that nyu emphasizes sat scores more than grades because gpas can have a large range and be influenced by a variety of factors

@emilyy5117 do you think we’ll get rejected since we dont have a FA change? im honestly so confused about all this because there have been so many different interpretations about what it means on this thread.

@emily don’t agonize over the fa change, the general consensus is that it means nothing! some people’s fa changed the day of or even after they received their acceptance stay positive!
