This was posted on NYU’s admission blog. [Regular Decision Admission Notifications Are On The Way | NYU Admissions Blog](<a href=“MEET NYU - Home”>MEET NYU - Home)

If accepted, when does financial aid info come?

They’re only sending it by email?!!? :(

what time do we get the results???

^^ according to the new blog post, any time between now and Monday

I just got an email with the subject “Your NYU Admissions Decision”

I get excited, because I’m about to find out, right? Wrong

The email says: [Cheetle],

On behalf of the Admissions Committee, I am writing to share the news that your admission decision is on its way. On Friday, March 29, we mailed your decision packet via express postal mail, and you should be receiving it in the next few days.

We thank you for your continued interest in New York University and look forward to speaking with you again in the future.

Sincerely,

Shawn L. Abbott
Assistant Vice President for Undergraduate Admissions

Are you serious? Does this mean they aren’t emailing my decision at all and I have to wait until Monday or Tuesday for snail mail?!?

^ idk why but telling you that your “packet” is coming via express postal mail sounds like a good sign to me :p

Okay, I just got that email too. I felt like it was an acceptance for a couple of reasons: “decision PACKET,” “express postal mail” (why would they waste money on express if you were waitlisted), “look forward to speaking with you in the future” (I’m sure they don’t want to talk to any sad/angry/upset people who were rejected).

It almost feels like a follow-up email, as if they already told us something (accept or WL probably) and now they’re adding more technical information separately.

My other suspicion was that it might be about Shanghai (since I saw you got in there) - that would be consistent with the “follow-up” idea, and also, we were already told we’d get official packets and finaid by April 1. NYU New York and Shanghai admissions are totally separate, though, and I think Shawn Abbot works with New York?

I applied Gallatin FYI

Are you guys international students, or is that the email everyone is going to receive?

Just wondering, is march 29th and april 1st RD for transfers aswell? Some transfers are already being rejected while nyu says the transfer notification date is early-mid may?

Thx for the help

@mcskillitcat, I’m domestic.

Additionally, the blog indicated that you would only receive a mailing if you were accepted, so we were probably accepted (either that or it’s about NYUSH, where we already know we got in). Hopefully the former!

Did anyone who got rejected see a change in FA status?

My FA change to “Award access not available”

Has anyone who auditioned for BFA acting at Tisch heard anything yet?? My friend who auditioned at the end of January got her rejection but my other friend auditioned with me on Feb 6 and we haven’t received emails yet. Did anyone who auditioned later receive one? Has anyone been accepted to Tisch since yesterday?

hey guys I just checked albert and if you click on application status there is a button that says admission offer and tells you if you were declined or accepted. good luck! I was accepted to tisch for film

@nyuhopeful
The change in FA has NOTHING to do wit acceptances/rejection
its even on the NYU blog if you search it up
and some people that were rejected had the award access not available with the 2014 year and others were rejected that had ONLY award access not available

Just got my acceptance letter! I think the theory hold true since my FA changed to 2014 Award Access not available in 25th of march

@ aviator2013

I did not see any change.

@aviator2013 thanks sooooo much!!

GOT IN!! CAS for Economics!

@linting2012

congrats! ^^
