@xomom, Congrats to your D for UCLA. My D was denied from UCLA, one of her top choices.

Nothing here yet, no email, no change on Albert…

@Sundays24 yes but anticipated total cost is 64k so I’m still missing 6k which I was hoping to get since my dad won’t give me a single cent

@dumbashellteen, how do u know its not before July 1? I thought itd be may 1?

Muf123, congrats! Is NYU your D top choice?

Wait listed, sad face. :(

@muf123 thank you! Congrats to your D for Tisch!

xomom: Don’t do it. Honestly, from my friend’s experience with LSP, it is a gigantic bait and switch–sort of a community college within NYU. Please, please read up on it (not just here but on other sites). It is not what it appears to be. A lot of adjunct (non-tenured) lecturers, less-than-rigorous coursework, a ton of bureaucracy and of course all the hidden costs and hassles of having a student in NYC. Please PM me if you would like more information.

@GrapeisGreat: Email said “We will not, however, have any indication if space will be available on any of these campuses until well after May 1, as we must wait to receive responses from the initial offers of admission we have extended thus far.” Wailist FAQ page says “Again, we will not have any indication whatsoever if we have space available in our freshman class until after May 1. We first need to determine if those initially offered admission will accept their offers. We will re-evaluate our capacity to admit any additional students from the wait list after we are sure that all deposits have been received. We will not even begin to assess our capacity to admit any new students until May 5th. We will communicate with you about your status on the wait list no later than July 1st.”

@GrapeIsGreat that’s the deadline to accept or deny wait list positions. The FAQ section included in the email states that credentials won’t be reviewed until around May 5th, with decisions being sent out NO LATER than July 1st… Sigh… More waiting…

I was so carried away at the fact that I got waitlisted that I didn’t even look into that. Thank you both for responding! Ah more waiting it is… are you guys checking LSP or nyu abroad to increase the chance or what?

I got accepted into CAS(psychology)
I received the acceptance letter in email and I did have the financial change( somewhere on Mar,12)

Of couse, being an international student, there aren’t giving me any sholarships…

Still. Congratulations to those who have been accepted!

Oh and…does NYU send physical letter?

@GrapeIsGreat yeah, I checked the Core Program and the abroad program but that’s it. I’m considering waiting until I possibly gain more credentials however before submitting my wait list reply. I’m a Gates Finalist… perhaps if I do get that scholarship, that could increase my chances of being accepted off the wait list… thoughts? Suggestions? All us wait-listers have until May 1st so I probably shouldn’t rush this.

S wait listed! Extremely surprised. That was the last of ten colleges to hear back from. 6 acceptances, 3 rejections, and 1 waitlist. What a trip!

@GrapeIsGreat: No, my S didn’t check abroad, but did say he would consider NYU Steinhardt which has a program similar to Tisch. He knows not picking another campus will limit or possibly destroy his chances of coming off the waitlist, but he wants NYC.

I got wait listed… Did anyone else?

I just got into Tisch! In case anyone cares, I am white and from New York, SAT 2230 and I am so, SO excited :)

I really didn’t think I was good enough to get into Tisch for theatre, so I am so surprised!

Congratulations to all those who got into NYU and for those who didn’t, I hope you get in to some other great colleges that you love :)

@GalindatheGood: Congrats! Did your Albert have the “Accept/Decline Admission” button earlier?

I just got accepted! NYU here I come!

Are they still sending out rejection letters?
