<p>what are the most used banks in NYC/ near NYU</p>

<p>i'm opening an account and i'm trying to find out which bank to do that at to make it more convenient next year</p>

<p>I actually have the same concern. I currently have an account at Citizen's because they're close to my house in PA but the bank I've mostly been looking at for college is Commerce. </p>

<p>Their website has a map of their NYC locations and it seems they're all over the place and there happens to be one near my house. </p>

<p>Any NYU students have a Commerce account? Is it convenient?</p>

<p>Maybe you should look into Citibank or Chase. They're the biggest franchise banks in New York as well as the east coast, and they usually have branches all over the place.</p>

<p>Citibank is the most convenient for many branches around the NYU area.</p>

<p>Pretty much every bank is near NYU. Bank of America, WaMu, Citi, Chase is best though because they have their ATMs in every duane reade and there are hundreds if not thousands of Duane Reades (a couple next to NYU) in NYC</p>
