NYU Official Class of 2015 Decisions

Hello NYU Applicants,

I thought I'd start the official NYU ED II thread. I believe admission decisions come out around 5 PM EST through email today.

It'd be cool if you started what particular school (Stern, CAS, ect.,) you will be attending.

i thought it was 5am in the morning
so i got up at 6 and checked
but nothing happened
i got disappointed
then i went on CC again
and realized it should be 5pm

btw, one more hour
good luck,ppl

I just got my decision!

I got accepted into Liberal Studies. So what dies this mean for my ED agreement, this is from the email:

"As an Early Decision applicant, you may choose to spend your freshman year in the Liberal Studies Program at our New York City campus, or at one of our four global academic centers in either Florence, London, Paris, or Shanghai. The enclosed FAQ has all of the details you should need to make your decision.

Since we are unable to offer you admission to the College of Arts and Science, you are not obligated, as an Early Decision applicant, to enroll at NYU unless you accept our offer of admission to the Liberal Studies Program. Only when you accept our offer of admission and pay your enrollment deposit, will we consider you to be bound by the Early Decision Agreement."

so I can basically back out of ED if I want?

just to make things more organized…

Delete spaces in brackets to get the correct format…good luck to all!

@laurenskillen

Yeah since you technically weren’t admitted into what you applied for (CAS) but rather LSP, they cannot leagally bind you and so they give you the choice of whether to accept the LSP offer or not.

“they cannot leagally bind you”

For the record, no school can or will ever legally bind anyone in an ED agreement; there are no legal issues. ED runs on the honor system, with possible consequences.

how did laurenskillen get the decision so early o_O

It’s probably because she got into LSP.

im nervous!

Im nervous too.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh 30 minutesss

30 mins~~
i hope we all get into NYU :D

me too. i keep refreshing my email :(

I think that all LSP letters have been sent… so between now and 5pm, acceptances to our initial college of choice or rejection, no more LSP :S good luck to everyone!

Does NYU do deferrals or are deferrals admission to LSP?

No, NYU doesn’t do deferrals.

i just got in!!!

Nope. :frowning: but congrats to all who did!

negative for me too :(

Rejected, it’s ok actually, was expecting it. it is nyu that’s losing out, congrats to those accepted!
