NYU Official Class of 2015 Decisions

On behalf of the admissions committee, it is my honor and privilege to share with you that you have been admitted to the College of Arts and Science at New York University. Congratulations! I could not be more excited to welcome you to NYU.

Gottem.

Does anybody know when RD applicants hear of their fate?

Deferred to NYU Poly. (I chose comp. sci as my major)

Don’t know how I should feel. are they even the same school?

they sent me to NYU-Poly =_____=

centerklaus what was your choice of major and your stats? i had a 3.68/4.00. top 25% of class and 2040 on the SAT. I feel like i should have gotten into CAS, unless if they are sending all comp.sci majors to Poly and giving them whopping scholarships?

My GPA is about 3.5
and 1970 on SAT
im more like a Math and Science student
coz i got 100 on geo regent and 98 on trig regent
780 on SATI Math section and 760 and Math II
either NYU main campus doesnt want us
or they want to send the students to NYU-Poly

how exactly did u guys get deffered to poly?

mind posting the email? thx

Decision: Accepted CAS

[/ul]General Comments:

The admissions committee recently completed the review of your application. Though we are unable to offer you admission to the College of Arts and Science at New York University, my colleagues at the Polytechnic Institute of NYU would, in fact, like to offer you admission. The Polytechnic Institute (also known as NYU-Poly) is affiliated with NYU and was founded in 1854 as America’s second oldest private institution dedicated to the study of engineering, science, and technology. On behalf of the NYU community, it is my pleasure to congratulate you on your admission to NYU-Poly.

=====
do u want more o__O?

haha yes ! im so curious why the heck r they doing his? omg sorry man

Based on your academic credentials and areas of interest, we both believe that you are a wonderful match for NYU-Poly, as they offer academic areas of interest similar to those presented in your application for admission to NYU.

At this time, we would like to refer your application materials to our admissions office at NYU-Poly. They will then prepare an admission packet for you. My colleagues at NYU-Poly have given me permission to share with you that your admission to NYU-Poly will also include a partial merit-based scholarship to fund your studies. Since we were unable to offer you admission to the College of Arts and Science, you will be exempt from the Early Decision Agreement and will have until May 1 to respond to your admission offer.
