I want to major in biology but I am also interested in business and philosophy. Where should I go?

Also, on a side note (not that it's important but just curious), is it harder to get into Chicago or NYU? Generally, would there be more people accepted by NYU and rejected by Chicago or the other way around?

I think Chicago is technically more prestigious, but both are great schools. You can be very successful at either school.

they are both great schools, chicago is very hard academically with a very thorough and intense core curriculum. area wise, the village is much better than Hyde Park-not a very good are from what I heard. Chicago is ranked higher because the large endowment it gets for research work and numerous nobel prize faculty and alumni. pick your schools based on fit, would you rather be around dark gothic structures or in an open campus with assortment of buildings of different arichetectural standing side by side. they both offer good job prospects and internships. if you think you can handle Chicago go, if not come to NYU. Oh yeah, Chicago is really strong in economics, but it is tough. As for NYU, each respective schools has its strengths. I would pick NYU because it offers overall a very good combination, but remember Chicago is not top #20 for no reason, give it a good consideration, its an awesome school if you are ready to put in the effort.

It depends what you want to get out of college.

Chicago=academics
NYU=fun, decent education

^^^ descent applies depending on the major. many of NYU's offerings academic offerings are recognized throughout the US and world. Stern, Tisch, CAS-psychology, political science, fine arts... and many others.
