<p>i'm going to school for biochemistry.</p>
<p>nyu is basically my dream school. i've been planning on applying early decision but things changed. tuition is crazy obviously and my step father makes over 100k while my mother and father make nothing. The only thing really working for me with financial aid is that i have a brother that will be in school next year.....so we aren't sure of the kind of aid i will get which makes me question nyu.</p>
<p>so i've been looking and i was wondering how comparable the cuny honors college is to nyu. (better, worse?)</p>
<p>It depends, did you get the MHC offer? That’s hard to turn down, I was wondering the same thing myself…</p>
<p>You’ll get a respectable education at both. And you’ll get NYC at both. It really depends most upon your financial situation. Not to mention if you would like to be one of an elite few or one of many.</p>
<p>Doesn’t hurt to apply for both and see how it plays out. Then you can choose the option that financially and academically works best for you.</p>
<p>do you qualify for other types of financial aid? Also, if your financial situation changes, your financial aid changes too, assuming you notified the financial office and updated your FAFSA.</p>
