nyu or emory?

i plan on majoring in econ
i know nyu econ is better than emory
but since i am also thinking about transferring to bschool 1 year later,
i am considering emory as well
and i want to know how tough internal transfer is

one last question
emory (20th) nyu(37th) based on usnews..
how important is that?

that's a ranking based on the college overall. The business schools of these colleges are quite different in ranks. NYU Stern is superior to Gouizeta (sp?). Also, internal transfer from one school of nyu to stern is quite hard but not impossible; try your best. Emory, however, is quite flexible. You actually, in your first 2 years in Emory, will be in Emory College; until you sustain certain business prereqs and credit hours, you can apply to the Gouizeta (sp? again) business school. Overall, I'd choose NYU; their Econ program is of the highest caliber. Hope this helps.

i was also accepted into NYU. haven't recieved my letter from emory yet... im thinking of majoring in econ, and im probably going to try and see if i could transfer to stern (assuming i go to nyu, of course- 80% chance)

thanks!
that helped me a lot
