NYU or GW

Hey guys, I'm honestly stuck between attending New York University or George Washington University. At this point, they both offered enough scholarships that they would be the same cost in attendance, so money isn't going to be the deciding factor. Here's the breakdown:

NYU -music technology. I would probably double major (or at least minor) in computer science to keep as many options open in case I don't want to solely focus on the music end of the major. (PROS: location, prestigious school for music tech, internships, etc). If it helps, I have been producing digital music since I was 11 and it's one of my biggest passions to date. Should I keep it a passion or try to make it a career?

GWU - Computer science. I would probably declare a BA in Computer Science to subsequently declare a double major in Biology. I would then attend graduate school to either continue focusing on computer science or shift my focus to anthropology to hopefully land a job in the government. (PROS: tons of internship opportunity within the city, and therefore, the government; location - DC is awesome).

I know it comes down to what I want to do/focus on for the rest of my life, but I think I need the opinion of other people as opposed to all my friends and family for a change. What do you guys think?

This sounds like a very subjective personal choice. You’ve got finances figured out, and it doesn’t even come down to which is better for a certain program, since you would be pursuing different things at each.

Visit, talk to professors, learn as much as possible about each, really examine what you want to do with your life, and make your choice. Good luck.
