NYU or GWU?

So after recieving all of my acceptance letters, I find myself at a standstill. NYU or GWU. I love both schools and campuses and all that jazz. GWU gave me $40,000 grand a year while NYU only gave me $12,000 grand a year. There's no doubt in my mind that NYU is the more known and prestigous school. Yet, I'm going for Political Science and GWU has one of the best in the nation. I want to be a lawyer so I know my Grad school is what really matters at this point in the game. I guess what I'm trying to say is an NYU degree worth more than a GWU degree (Poli Sci degree?)

In my opinion, GW is the way to go. For Poli Sci, you can’t get better than the Washington DC location. And, I don’t think you can turn down $40,000-- don’t forget, you will still have to pay for grad school. If you’re really in love with New York, you could consider going to grad school there, or you could always live there after college. But I’d say there’s no place better to study politics than in the nation’s capital.

GWU has given you a significantly better financial offer. NYU doesn’t offer you a significantly better academic experience. Provided you can afford GWU with this aid package, and don’t need to choose a still less expensive option for financial reasons, this is a no-brainer. Go to GWU.

eh, im not too sure I agree with everyone. Sure GW has a great political science program, but other than that, theres not much else. What if half way through college you change your major, but still want to go to law school? NYU has top ranked undergrad programs from econ to philosophy, and NYU’s political science program is also very good. Plus, like you said ,NYU is the better school (Much better), so I really think you should go to nyu.

GW in a heart beat. GWU has the better program and the financial benefit is amazing. Save your money for grad/professional school.

Would NYU mean starting grad school with a lot of debt? Then NYU is not worth it.
