NYU or Tufts?

@chemmchimney Completion of the T extension has been pushed back to 2024. It’s the MBTA after all!

@TomSrOfBoston Big Dig 2.0? Lol.

@privatebanker No, it is all surface level. They designed a deluxe extension costing several billion. The feds said no funding. So they redesigned it as a bare bones extension. Construction should start soon.

@privatebanker - just out of curiousity, when were you last in Somerville ??

Thanks TSB. Hopefully a good result comes out of it.

@Mastadon A month ago? When is the last time you’ve been to Brooklyn? Its the trendiest part of all NYC right now and quickly becoming the most expensive place to live other than uptown. It’s population is 2.6mm people. Somerville is 76k. Somerville is having a renaissance of sorts sure. But it’s like comparing Philadelphia to Waltham

@tomsrofboston - Where did you hear that? The last I heard (about a month ago) it was still on track for 2021. Which is already a 6-7 year delay, depending on how you are counting.

@Mastadon The extension is scheduled to open 12/2021. If you believe that you must live out of state, or be a newbie Massachusetts resident.

@privatebanker - With all due respect, your username suggests that you might not be in tune with the latest trends - blue pinstripes haven’t been in style for a long time :slight_smile:

As far as New York goes, I got a crash course a couple of years ago when my daughter graduated and got a job downtown. She made it very clear to me that uptown was for boring old people-like me :slight_smile:

@Mastadon

You’re probably right. Lol

@tomsrofboston -
My family came over on the Mayflower, so there is a reasonable probability that you are the “newbie”. :slight_smile:
