NYU, Penn, Gtown- need input PLEASE?!

i'm applying as a sophomore transfer for fall 09 and those are my three top choices. i know i'm counting my eggs before they hatch, since i don't know where i'll get in, but i'm lost as to which would be the best fit for me and i want to get some kind of order set, since they give you ridiculously short notice to decide.

so...does anyone have experience transferring to one of the three? i love different things about each of them: NYU is in the middle of an awesome, fun city, and from what I've heard, the student body is fiercely independent and tends to keep to themselves, which fits my personality exactly; however, I'm worried about making friends as a transfer in such a huge, impersonal school. I've only heard positive things about Penn in all areas, but it's only 45 minutes from my home and i'd kind of like to stretch my comfort zones and try something new...plus, it's often listed as a "similar school" to Carnegie Mellon, where I am currently and absolutely hate. Georgetown seems like it has a great sense of community in a really nice environment, plus a student body comprised mostly of preppy, catholic-school kids like me, so I don't know that i'd have trouble fitting in there, but i'm worried that it will be TOO homogenous and somewhat snobby.

if anyone has any advice or input, PLEASE let me know...i'm trying to get some objective insight, instead of my friends and family members telling me where I would and wouldn't like.

thank you!!!

if you don't mind me asking, what is your major? are all of the schools equally strong in it?

i'm undeclared at my current school but i intend to declare as a french major wherever i go...which doesn't help much, since they all have strong programs and study abroad programs in france...
