I am a transfer from another university in North Carolina. I am originally from Tennessee and have applied to Poly for the Fall of 2013. I am wondering if anyone has any input on transferring to poly, and/or getting in to poly in general. I have read other threads from years past but few of my questions were answered. I had a 3.3 GPA in high school and a 26 on math and a 30 on science on the ACT. I have a 3.0 GPA as a Mechanical Engineering student at my current university. I applied after my fall semester of my freshman year, and I am currently in my spring semester. I am curious about my chances for aid, and acceptance, and whatever else anyone can offer that they think would help!! Thanks!

I don’t have any real help but rather in the same boat. poly is my number one choice of schools to transfer to and am hoping and praying to get in. what university are you at? I live on San Francisco and go to community college out here. Did you send your application in yet?

I go to University of North Carolina Charlotte. I sent in my application about 2 weeks ago along with both of my recs and my transcripts.

Oh ok I am sending in my application on Friday. I have one reccomendation on the way but another professor I ahve is being slow sending out the other one. I am releasing an android game on friday so I want to put that on my application as well. I was in the military and took a few classes and had a 3.15. I just finished my first semester and got all A’s so I am hoping that is enough to get into NYU Poly. We will probably be the last class that applies to NYU poly independently. Good luck through the process. We should make this the official NYU Poly transfer thread.

Good luck to you as well. I just have very little to go off of when it comes to my chances and what specifically they are looking for. I will be sure to post to this thread when I hear back from them.

Got accepted last week how about you?

Yeah I got in too. You have a facebook?
