NYU-Poly Financial Aid

Did anyone get their financial aid package for Poly yet? I got a letter from them last saturday telling me to send in copies of financial documents like my parent's W-2 and other stuff we filled out the FAFSA with.

They should be arriving early next week.

Okay, thanks!
Does that mean sometime within the next few days since today’s Sunday?

I hope so. Really not sure.

I also didn’t make my deposit yet since I want to see what my aid package is like first.
Was that a wise choice? Or no?

So I got the financial aid package letter today. (yay)

It says work-study for $750 a semester. Anyone know what type of jobs there are? I would like something computer/technology related so I’m not bored out of my gourd, but beggars can’t be choosers I guess.

Also, during my interview, the interviewer told me that the Cyber Security program was going to be available after my Sophomore year and I could go into that program that’s being paid for by the Federal government. So that means after the first 2 years, I can get my last 2 years tuition-free, is that right? I’m going into Poly’s computer-engineering program, but cyber security also interests me.

Not sure. Please post if you find out.

I’m assuming you mean the INSPIRE (Information Security and Privacy) program.
I received an email about this a few months ago and to apply, you have to submit a bunch of information (essays, recs, etc) to be selected for the program.

Yea, I got the same email about the ASPIRE program. The only thing that’s stopping me from applying is this: “An up-to-date resume that highlights technical, legal, public policy, economic, or risk management experience.”

I have no resume. :(
