NYU-Poly? Or other good engineering/technology school?

I live in New York and go to Brooklyn Technical High School (One of the NY specialized high schools). So far, the only school that looks good (to me) is NYU-Poly (Polytechic University of NYU)

My stats are:
Average unweighted: 92.72
Average weighted: 91.3
Class Rank: I don't know.

SAT (Only taken once. Will retake in October.):
1950 (Writing: 640 CR: 650 Math:660)

SAT II: None

ACT: None

AP Exams:
AP English - 5
AP Economics - 5
AP Java - 4
Taking AP Calculus AB this year.

Classes: Honors English and Chemistry sophomore year. 3 APs Junior year, and 1 AP senior year.

Extracurricular Activities:
"Tech Squad" since freshman year. (School's tech support stuff)
Software Development Club since freshman year.
Started a website. Am currently earning money from it.

Community Service/Volunteer:
Volunteered for 2 summers at my middle school doing administrative tasks in their tech department. (Total of 137 hours.)

Honors: None.

Ethnicity: Asian. (Chinese)

Bookmarked! We are in California (though husband went to Brooklyn tech), and this school sent soccer recruiting stuff to my son.Don’t know anything else; sorry!

im applying NYU as well! :D

i think if you are interested in a engineering/tech major at a competitive school, you should probably raise your math score on the SAT. a 700+ would help. and are you planning on taking SAT2s?

good luck :D

I think it’s too late for me to take any SAT2s.

Most early decisions are must be submitted by the start of November so I think you have a shot in taking them in October, and have the scores directly submitted to Columbia. Chance me please?

I would chance you, but I’m probably the worst person you could be asking.
I know next to nothing about colleges and the college process.

bumping once…

When I was your age, two years ago (lol), CollegeBoard.com’s College Search function was super helpful to me.

Based on your scores, I say NYU-Poly would be happy to have you. I go there  you can let me know if you have any questions…but you should really look at other schools too. Maybe Macauley (sp?) Honors. What are you planning on majoring in?
