NYU-Poly

I have made up my mind about attending NYU-Poly, but I will not be there until next Saturday. I am needing to know how the labs at NYU-Poly are. Are they crappy? Or do they have a wide array of modern laboratories for optimal research?

My other choice is Purdue, but since Poly ranks #7 for the most well paid degree among even ivy league schools salary wise per year...

Thanks!!!

are you sure you mad up your mind? you sound doubtful.

the labs aren’t that great tbh. I think purdue has the edge on research.

i hope i have confused you more lmao sry

Yeah, I would like to see the school and see how I feel being at the two… And you did confuse me even further  but I will figure it out… I like NYU-Poly for their I2E philosophy- something not every school has!! But lab facilities are important to be modern in order to further research at the school and gain it more recognition. I heard Poly got a large amount of money to modernize their labs is that true? And are they in construction of new stuff?

Yeah, but I think the new money for labs is coming in from scholarship funds ughhh. I guess I can understand the switch though. They’re just trying to cater to ambitious students.

I’m on the same boat.

Should I choose Poly over Purdue? For what reason?

Purdue Engineering is, no doubt, one of the best in this country, however, Poly offers almost a full ride.

How in the world can Poly engineers earn more than Purdue engineers?

I think it’s partly location. Partly because Poly is smaller so can cater to each individual student and send him/her off to a high-paying job. NYC has a much higher cost of living than West Lafayette/Indianapolis.

FURKANK, I feel the exact same way. I think research in the undergraduate years is most important for me. Plus, the name of the diploma is going to mean more or less money. However, both schools are respectable yet Purdue is mainly more well known. I am very very confused!!!

oh, and thanks static75!!!
