NYU question

Hey, I was just wondering what the unweighted GPA to get into NYU usually is. I know there's not really a straight answer to this, but what is it generally? Mine right now is either 3.7 or 3.75. I'm going to try to make up some classes soon to bring it up, but I don't know.

But based on that, do I have a chance? (Based solely on GPA, because I know there are other factors). Just wondering, because I feel like it's really low.

Thanks!

well usually whenever guides and rankings list average highschool gpa it means unweighted. NYU off the top of my mind is 3.6.
As long as you have a decently challenging course load you should be more than fine.
The only part of NYU that has above a 3.6 average is stern because, well, stern is an Incredible business school.

Ide say with a 3.7uw, and good test scores you are definitely a solid applicant. a 30 act (or sat equivalent) should give you a good shot at CAS.
Even higher, the better.

Why NYU though?

3.6 for CAS.

Thanks guys! I will be applying to CAS so I'm glad to hear I'm at the right spot.

In response to BIGTWIX, I want to go there for their solid Journalism program.

:)

Depends... Class rank matters probably more... some schools have some BS weights. My school, the Valedictorian has a 4.36, while other schools go up to 4.9 (which is bull shhht)

thats fair then. I mean most of their liberal arts are top of the line.
Some of the best Math programs around, and political science ranks among top 20.
Ive heard great things about their journalism too. Plus wallstreet is always nice. Only the best internships at nyu.
