NYU Questions

Self-Background
-Weighted 90.22 GPA (Full of honors with 2 AP's)
-SAT's so far (530 CR, 720 M, 640 W) but I believe with my new scores I'll hit around (550 CR, 800 M, 680 W), can't guarantee the others but the Math I know I got a perfect pretty much.
- Varsity teams, many extracurriculurs, leadership positions, volunteer work, church officer, etc
- Asian American and I live in NYC

So here are my questions:

I'm interested in Engineering (probably Electrical but not positive) and NYU is my first choice. What should I declare my major as, Engineering or undeclared? What's the advantages and disadvantages?

I'm not sure what Liberal Arts is, just heard it's kind of underrated, but I want to attend NYU whatever it takes. So when I'm applying for an Engineering major, am I actually applying to CAS, or is the major just a small take in the process? Or does it give me a choice of schools to apply to when I actually do the application?

Does Liberal Arts only offer fields such as music, dance, arts, etc or is it simply Liberal Arts where it has broad areas of every subject in which science is included?

Would CAS be difficult in my cirumstances? Liberal Arts?

I'm slacking off senior year, but I'm improving. Would that be a big minus?

So basically I want to attend NYU, and if CAS of course the better, but can someone clarify what I'm not understanding?

That's all the questions I can think of so far, Thanks in advance.

NYU in Washington Square does not have any Engineering programs, NYU-Poly in Brooklyn is probably what you’re looking for.

^What he/she said. You would apply directly to NYU-Poly, which isn’t yet fully integrated with the rest of NYU yet, but they’re working on that.

I think you first need to decide which school you want to apply to because you’re evidently interested in engineering but they do not offer that anywhere at NYU but NYU-Poly
