Good luck guys!
I applied neural science for CAS! Have you gotten your portal info yet?
haven’t gotten portal info yet!!!
Applied December 29 RD to CAS undeclared. Haven’t received portal info yet. Good luck everyone!
Quick question - for those of you who have already submitted your FAFSA/CSS, do they show up in your Albert financial aid to-do list? Says that they have received my CSS but not FAFSA. Don’t want to email in case it’s just taking them a while to update but I submitted the FAFSA in early November
Applied last night to MCC at Steinhardt! Haven’t received portal info yet. Decided last minute to apply because it’s my dream school, but I was hesitant because its so expensive Does anyone wanna share stats?
@cnc4599 I applied ED & a lot of people told me not to because its so expensive, but they gave me a really good financial aid package so maybe you’ll get one as well
ok so I’m kind of freaking out rn cause I submitted my common app late by 20 minutes because I forgot about the signature thing. I paid for my application at 8 PM and thought I was done, but I just didnt submit the signature. It still let me submit though. Am I ok or do you think NYU will reject me?
@saintlaurentdon there’s a grace period; youre okay
@Venice23 thank you fam I was so worried I sent an email to them but they’re on break
So I applied to NYUAD on December 24 and still haven’t received my applicant portal info. :-S
My DD applied on 12/20. Still no portal info.
@Venice23 Congrats that’s awesome, and thanks for the info that eases my mind a bit.
I got an email from one of the admission directors asking about my ACT score report so I think they might be getting everyones info together first before they release portal info
@sierra18 I would still call because when I applied ED1, it showed my CSS as received and I had submitted my FAFSA but I screwed it up so I had to wait for the FAFSA people to reset my account and I had to correct the errors. However, for some reason, a few days before the decisions came out, I decided to call NYU just to double check and a lady told me that didn’t get my corrected FAFSA so I wouldn’t receive a financial aid package and I started freaking out!!! So I called again and a different person answered and he went in the system and found it and he told me that they got it and everything was all set. In the end, I ended up getting extremely good financial aid, I got full tuition, but I still have to pay the cost of living which is still expensive, but better. So, the bottom line is to just double check because you never know and if they didn’t receive it, you may be able to have time to fix it.
@GiannaC3 Thank you so much! I’m def planning to call now. And CONGRATS on the amazing financial aid! Hope to see you there!
I just got an email supposedly from NYU asking me to send a pdf copy of my social security number so that I can get my portal info. There are typos in the email and it looks pretty unprofessional… It’s a scam, right?
@UghDeferred That definitely sounds like a scam
