I just reread the rejection letter and this is by far the best one I’ve received (I’m not being sarcastic lol). I love that the Dean of Admissions added this part “Again, I am sorry for the disappointing news. My experience shows that the vast majority of students who are delivered similar news – myself included, as I was not admitted to my own first choice university more than 20 years ago – go on to have a wonderful university experience.” It actually made me feel better.
Did anyone here apply to more than one NYU campus (NY, Shanghai, and AD) and got into more than one?

Waitlisted for CAS. Out of state with 3.83 UW and 4.05 W with three concussions. 1470 superscored SAT with 760 math and 710 english. EC of varsity volleyball (captain senior year, 2nd team all league senior year, state and norcal regional champion junior year), performing arts (school musical all for years, advanced choir three years, advanced drama), activism (feminist club, QSA), and a job for two summers. Congrats to those who got in!

for anyone wondering going off last years data ( ROUGHLY 67000 applicants total, 15% waitlisted, half of the 15 stayed on, 325 positions open in the end) about 6.5% of those on the waitlist were accepted if my math was right which it might not be bc I’m not smart enough to get into nyu lmao

I was waitlisted w/ a 1500 (superscored) SAT and a 4.4 GPA which… is confusing to me?

Hey you guys I feel like I should share this to give hope to anyone still waiting on a decision. I had mediocre extracurriculars. A 4.1 weighted GPA. At 1360 on the SAT. And I got accepted to NYU. But not only did I get accepted but I got a 41,000 Stern scholarship. I guess that means I got into Stern then? Does anyone know if the scholarship is renewable? I was honestly expecting to not get into NYU much less Stern and I also wasn’t expecting to get money sooooo pretty cool.
