NYU RD Class of 2022

@happyboy292 Well congrats then!!!

Accepted to liberal studies core with a 1500 SAT and 4.0 weighted gpa.

Does anyone know when financial aid information will be available?

@happyboy292 thank you honey, you make sure you work hard and everything will be great for you, have fun and work hard at NYU, it is a great school.

@lenasharb Same thing happened to me. I hope we should be getting a decision from the other campuses sometime soon. I got an email last week saying that they would have decisions for all campuses on their portal, so we may just have to wait.

Rejected. Ughhhhh

I got into the Global Liberal Studies Program with a 3.55/4.0 GPA and a 1400 SAT. I had a lot of extracurriculars, no sports(!!), i had the teachers in my rec for 3 years, and strong essays and supplements. About a few weeks ago I submitted an update letter as well talking about my recent accomplishments in the second semester. idk if it helped but it could have a little bit. My top choice was the CAS and i’m a Political Science major.

accepted into Rory Meyers College of Nursing!!!

waitlisted on my birthday

Stats aren’t everything… D waitlisted… 3.1 GPA, 32 ACT… private high school… they look at the whole package.

@Kyther Hi! Thank you so much for your reply. I was so scared that this only happened to me. What NYU school at the NYC campus did you apply to if you don’t mind me asking? Did you feel like you would qualify for at least a wait list at that part

waitlisted with SAT of 1560 and 4.0GPA so…yeah

@Kyther *particular school

@lenasharb I’m glad I could relieve some of your stress! I applied to Stern, and given my stats I felt like at the very least like I should be waitlisted. But obviously when applying to a tough school like NYU its hard to tell.

Accepted RD. 1410 SAT 3.7 UW / 4.0 W GPA
White Male from Florida.
27k/year merit scholarship but no financial aid whatsoever.
I think what got me in was my Study Abroad Scholarship over this past summer and I mentioned how I really want to go to a school that is “international” in a sense, like NYU. Unfortunately cannot attend considering the loans they want me to take out per year are half of my families salary even though we have 7 people living in our household.

Pretty shocked by this decision as I have only been accepted to FSU, UCF and Fordham until now. Waitlisted at Northeastern, Boston University, Villanova University, and University of Rochester. Denied at University of Florida, WashU, Vanderbilt, UVA, Northwestern and Boston College.

Good luck to all waitlisted as my spot will soon be available.

@lenasharb Here’s an excerpt from the email that I got about 2 weeks ago

"As we conclude our evaluation of candidates for admission to New York University, we’d like to update you on our decision notification process.

All admission decisions for all three of our campuses will be available through our online decision portal on or before April 1st. We will notify you by email once it is available."

ACCEPTED INTO NYU STERN AS A BREAKTHROUGH SCHOLAR. Good luck to you all!

My D got accepted but we don’t see no financial aid info. Is it in yet? I’m praying on an amazing scholarship. This is a school that we cannot afford :((

@Kyther I got the same email too. So I take it to mean decisions for other campuses will be released later on? I don’t recall anything like this happening in other years, with different campuses releasing on different dates and whatnot.

So no one else here applied to other NYU campuses besides the one in NYC?

@lenasharb Yeah I suspect that they just haven’t updated decisions for all three campuses yet (which I agree is odd), or there is something wrong with the portal in which it only enables you to see the decision for Shanghai. I also emailed the admissions office so I’ll let you know what they say if they get back to me.
