I know NYU gets a lot of applications, but so do a ton of other colleges. They never respond to emails, send zero updates, and keep us totally un-posted on everything going on.

Speak for yourself… I’ve gotten lots of emails. But why should they answer all 5 billion emails asking when results come out? Loads of schools have been keeping their prospective students hanging this week. Yeah it’s not fun, but… They said by April 1, which we can comfortably infer to really mean by Friday

yet again, I got skrewed over by one of my top schools today so I’m becoming anxious to the max about NYU.
^ the fact that they don’t respond nor reach out to us is making this worse.

Wouldn’t it be worse if they told you a date and didn’t release the decisions on that date because they couldn’t make that deadline?

What are these “lots of emails” you refer to?

I’ve had a lot of communication with my admissions officer- she emailed me early on suggesting that I try applying to Gallatin because she thought it would be a great fit after reviewing my application and seeing my career goals. After I ended up accepting she emailed whenever they needed additional materials (a personal statement, eventually an extra letter of recc, and a couple minor things). She also kept answering questions I had about the program for almost a month afterwards, confirmed that my app had switched programs, etc.
I had a question about the Yellow Ribbon GI Bill program, since NYU has announced that they are no longer running it, and the financial aid office got back in touch quickly.
Idk, it seems to me that as long as you address NYU professionally and with legitimate and personalized questions, they will respond quickly.

I had a similar experience with my admissions officer- she would reply in a timely fashion. I only had slow responses from FA department.

I heard that official emails will go out tomorrow. Don’t ask me about the source :-)

I’m soooooooo nervous/anxious right now. How am I gonna survive in school oh gosh ):

I don’t even know youove, but I love you sigma! Ahh.

In the words of Jennifer Lawrence, “I’m like a chihuahua. I’m shaking and peeing.”

NYU is ranked No 4 by The Princeton Review for Dream Schools 2012

[The Top 10 Dream Colleges For Students](<a href=“The Top 10 Dream Colleges For Students | HuffPost College”>The Top 10 Dream Colleges For Students | HuffPost College)

Best of luck everyone!

How do we get the results?

Do they send an email or do we have to have log in somewhere? Where do we get the username/password/website to log in?

Search your e-mail. They should have sent you something a while ago that had your username and everything. I believe they e-mail when the results are ready, and then you login. I could be wrong…

I had a dream that I got wait listed haha oh no!

Mango15

Me too that is SO weird!

Guys we’ve said this like fifty times, it’s an email.

For ED NYU sent out rejections in the morning and saved the acceptances for the evening. I guess they are sending decisions out all at once for RD?

@mango15, wow. Sending rejections while kids are probably in school, a lot of them with a smart phone so they get it right then and there . . . seems kind of cruel, especially since everyone’s been waiting such a long time. Give everyone the dignity of crying or whooping it up in private.
