I wish they’d tell us all at one time instead of suspiciously changing statuses on Albert logins
Apparently somebody at my school heard they got into NYU over the last week. Perhaps she was in LSP-ed? I’m not sure.

So if we are rejected from CAS, does the Albert thing change our application to LSP? Do you guys think that if it has not changed that we got into CAS? Can’t stand the wait!

Sorry for the late reply, but yes only one student who was admitted to northeastern received the email a day before decisions notifying her of her financial aid. She was the only one who got the email, no one else.

There is a high possibility that decisions could be released tomorrow or the next day.

Cnhaynes I am in the exact same situation as you. Applied to CAS as a pre-med Bio major. If I got into NYU I know I would go there in a heart beat, but if not, I have a few colleges I was accepted to and would need to make a decision between them.

Hey everyone just wanted to give a quick update. I emailed NYU regarding all Albert changes and she said there is absolutely no tricks <quoting) to determine admission on Albert. Idk how true that is but I think for all of our sanity just lets go by that. Also she said decisions are still scheduled for April 1st not earlier

Thanks for further clearing that up! And it seems odd that they would release decisions on a Sunday,

Don’t forget the first rule: Admissions officers lie. Specifically and especially about the date that decisions will be released.

I kinda figured she was just giving a typical response but the anxiety of worrying about things we don’t know is going to kill us lol might as well just think there is no connection and wait for whatever happens. But maybe that’s just my thoughts since my Albert has not been updated ■■■

I wouldn’t trust admissions officers. When I was waiting for the UNC EA decisions to come out, the admissions officers on the blog repeatedly said that decisions would be made available online at the end of January. As it turned out, decisions were mailed mid-January. Up to the day I checked the mail and got my letter, I still believed decisions would be available online at the end of January. It was such a shock to get it in the mail so early. There was no indication, no hints beforehand. I know NYU’s been insisting that decisions will come by email on April 1st, but I’m taking it with a grain of salt. I wouldn’t be surprised if my acceptance/rejection letter came at midnight by owl. That’s how unpredictable this college season has been.

Screw NYU. I don’t care anymore

Not a big deal but I actually misread what the admissions officer said. She said emailed BY April 1st

That one word makes such a difference to me. Now I’m hoping for tomorrow or Thursday! :)

For what it’s worth, my guidance counselor called today to inquire about the release date of RD decisions, and the admissions rep said they’d be out by the end of this week. No interpretation on my part, I just thought you’d like to know what I was told.
Best of luck to everyone!

My family is already getting excited about my 2nd choice for a university if I were to get rejected by NYU and I have to constantly remind them to stop getting excited about the other university because I would go to NYU if I got in.

My mom has already booked a flight up to Boston for this Friday!

Under application status, does it still say that NYU is processing your application for everyone?

This is what it says on Albert…

Admission Decision Release
We expect that all admission decisions will be sent via email on December 15th after 5pm (Eastern Standard Time) for Early Decision I candidates and on February 15 after 5pm for Early Decision II candidates. Admission decisions for Regular Decision candidates will be sent sometime on April 1st after 5pm. Admission decisions will not be available anywhere on this website. Decisions will not be released over the phone until 5 days after decisions have been released via email.

Mango, is your 2nd choice BU? Mine too. As in, I’d rather go to NYU if I get in, but I don’t know how likely that is, so BU is my backup choice in that case.

My 2nd choice is BU, too.

^nope northeastern! But I heard BU and northeastern party together often so who knows we could run in to each other haha still hoping for NYU but I’d be extremely happy at NEU too.

Haha, well good luck to you Mango15! Hopefully we will both be in, and be classmates next year. and to the kids that said that BU was their second choice, it’s mine too. That and UCSD.
