***NYU Regular Decision Class of 2021 Discussion***

@yeeezussss I’m not complaining about the waitlist…yeah I know my stats are kinda subpar and much lower than a lot of people. I just realized…that I actually didn’t put a particular major down. I put undecided actually, but wrote my essays about Computer Science and potential major options for the Why NYU?..SO maybe that is why.

I’m going to have to say my essays pulled me through to make it to waitlist still… ; ) The power of good essays.

I didn’t have any changes at all and I was wait listed. 1370 sat, 4.5 gpa

Accepted!!
By some miracle I got into the core program for liberal studies.
W GPA: 3.72
ACT: 29
Junior year courses: AP Lit, Honors Physics, AP US History. Only one AP senior year (stats)
I’d say my essay definitely sold this one. Wrote about growing up in a different country and being biracial.

Congrats to everyone!

Accepted but cannot view financial aid. Anyone else have this problem?

does anyone know how many people got admission this year? i know 67,232 people applied…just trying to get an idea of the acceptance rate

@marissabernie I wish I had put down LSP as an alternative choice when I applied… I didn’t really look into that program until after the submission of application, and now I realize it’s actually a fantastic opportunity NYU has to offer.
Definitely gonna put it down this time on the waitlist form lol.

Anyway congratulations!!!

Got Waitlisted! Was planning to go to NYU but now that I’ve been waitlisted, there’s not much chance at all, so I will probably enrol at another uni. Congrats to everyone who got in though.

Accepted to Tandon for CS & CE … not sure if i’m even going to be able to afford it.

ACCEPTED AND I AM CRYING THIS IS MY TENTH ACCEPTANCE

Accepted to CAS w $40,000 Scholarship!

Out of State: Washington
3.9 UW GPA
ACT 30
Senior Year: AP Environmental, AP Calculus, AP US History, AP Comparative Government, AP English Literature, 5th Year Spanish

anyone else still waiting to hear?

@Miti66 I was waitlisted as well. We don’t really know what the chances are, it all depends on how many accepted students decide not to go there … so it can be anything from 0% of applicants to 20% of applicants, we have no idea! And that’s what sort of sucks … but just let NYU know that you’re very interested and express that in your waitlist statement (:

how much does it cost a year to study at nyu without scholarship

Is there a groupme for accepted students?

I can already tell the chances of the waitlist are going to be like winning a lottery.
There are so many people that’s waitlisted. Just in my school, not a single student who applied NYU was rejected.
11 people applied, 2 accepted and 9 waitlisted.
GG…

And I feel like of all the colleges that I’ve applied and seen, NYU has the biggest waitlist pool… Is it just my imagination?

Ugh got my email a couple hours ago. Too nervous to open it. Applied to tandon. After seeing everyone else’s stats I feel like I won’t be accepted. I feel like CC can either be extremely reassuring or makes you feel like you’re going to get rejected from every school you applied to

@Fishnlines29 @nyuhope17 2 weeks ago I mentioned that you can hint your acceptance by seeing “Housing” on the Albert Portal. Turns out that “rumor” is true! I’ve seen the Housing section weeks before and I got accepted today

I applied for the business and technology management degree (tandon school of engineering) but I want to get a degree from Stern. Is it easy to transfer into stern or can I double major with a degree from Stern? I really want to get into stern somehow but my major is part of tandon

Accepted to NYU with scholarship and I got none of the changes (literally zero) that people were talking about, except for the added academic year 2017-2018 on the housing portal. Posting so hopefully next year’s wave of applicants don’t have to go through all the tarot readings on NYU Albert that happened this year.
