Wow, sorry, never expected to start a sht-storm! My fault really I suppose. I was just commenting that my daughter was not even looking on the day she found out two years ago because the date NYU was claiming they were posting acceptances wast still at least three days away (I go with the 3+ days definition of several 
).
Anyway, our experience then and now is that some schools follow what they say closely, others not so much. Also, trying to use portal changes as an indication is potentially helpful though probably rarely. My daughter was able to figure out she got into UF before being officially notified, but no other school telegraphed that info by accident.
Either way I agree that relaxing and trying to forget about it until the announcement is wonderful advice that 99% of students will not even come close to being able to follow. This is one of the most stressful of times for a student.

Is it possible to do a double major, one in Tisch and one in Stern?
@invent0210 I actually had the same question but turns out, you can’t double major across different colleges. instead, you can major at Stern and minor in something else at Tisch (or the other way around)
@invent0210 oh and I almost forgot, if you want to double major at another college, it has to be CAS. that’s the only exception
@indiahyland ah so if I’m a photography major at Tisch, I can’t apply to be a business major at stern? And can you please explain CAS in a bit more detail to me? I’m still confused about that…

Painfully embracing for the 30th. I was waitlisted to Emerson College, Accepted to Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) and The University of Arizona. However, rejected from Boston University, University of Texas (Austin), Loyola Marymount University and my dream school University of Southern California. As an intended filmmaker needless to say I am heartbroken and shattered of the previous hard work throughout many years. Mentally begging NYU to be a positive outcome.
