I’m a Stern applicant. I can’t log into orgsync but I have “housing payment” tab on my Albert
@allallj The housing tab only shows up on Albert if somebody begins to fill out the housing application for any term. It is not an indicator and this has been established.
@kibbles dude google housing nyu and u will see the link.
ok I don’t know if this has been established already but that orgsync website is NOT an indication of acceptance whatsoever. I just read over last year’s forum, and there are specific people who got rejected or waitlisted that previously stated that they could access the orgsync website and see their nyu.edu email. so to everyone who can’t access it - it means nothing! don’t worry about it. and to those who can access it - don’t get your hopes up over something that doesn’t actually mean anything. 4 more days!
Actually I couldn’t find anyone who could access orgsync that was rejected on that old thread. They were all accepted or waitlisted. I could have missed someone though
@nyuhope17 I actually found two! one was eebee88 and the other I can’t remember. but I’m 100% positive there were people who could access the link that got rejected
lmao you guys are cute. I accidentally accessed google when I clicked on chrome. I think it’s an indicator for rejection.
@Kosmkkk if you have a problem with admission related discussions then maybe you should spend less time on discussion forums
I saw someone ask this question earlier, but they got no response. (Sorry if this has been established. ): I looked back for about 25 pages)
“Is it true that the AO still put people in LSP even if they didn’t indicate LSP as an alternative school in their application?” was my question
@SternAspirations It’s always good to have a community to discuss and relieve stress. Although what most of people say or indicate is wrong, it’s great to keep our hopes and face the results with guts.
I’m just courious as to whether the people who are able to access orgsync are also able to login here: https://www.bookstores.nyu.edu/computer.store/price.guides.fail.html - also, those of you who aren’t able to access orgsync - can you access this? It seems quite reasonable that if only some people are able to access both, and the rest isn’t able to access neither orgsync nor this, that they simply haven’t registered everyone yet?
@SternAspirations I can log into bookstore but not orgsync.
I cannot log into OrgSync or the bookstore @SternAspirations … hoping this isn’t an indicator of anything bad
Okay, I really don’t think this indicates anything, given that there are people who weren’t able to access these sites, but who were accepted anyway. This was the last thing that I had to check, and now I’m pretty sure that this confusion only has something to do with the people who update our profiles, so we should all just relax and hope for the best
I can log into OrgSync but not the bookstore…ughghgh idk what to think anymore
I’m starting to think one explanation as to why not everyone can log into them or can only log into some is that since they release decisions in waves, the database might not be fully updated with each applicant’s status, if that makes sense. Like maybe the database also updates in waves?
Lmao I can access orgsync but not the bookstore, not that I think it means anything concrete.
I mean, the reason why they are waiting until the 30th to tell us even though they have all the decisions ready has probably something to do with the fact that they haven’t updated all of these sites yet and bc they haven’t registered everyone and everything yet - why else wouldn’t they just tell us whether we got in or not right now, right?
@SternAspirations I was able to login to OrgSync and NYU classes but not the bookstore.
I agree that this has something to do with the acceptances. I mean otherwise, why are some people able to login and others are not?
And for those people who do not like to speculate or are mocking us by saying “my google chrome worked, does that mean I got in?”, then simply leave the discussion or do not participate. No need to mock those who are simply having a discussion about a college we dearly love.
I have been on 8 different college threads during this college acceptance process and it’s funny how they all have the same pattern. A few days prior to decision everyone is trying to figure out a loophole with the portal to see if there is a clue of acceptance. After acceptance there always seems to be no ryhme or reason. Then the day before or the day of when the stress is really high, people start criticizing affirmative action and they start to reason why they might not get accepted. Then philosophical arguments occur. Read the threads from the top schools, it’s actually entertaining. Chill Out, celebrate the acceptance and handle the rejection and move on. No one will be thinking about that rejection in 3 years wherever you end up at that college party on a Friday night. I promise!
