@johnark19 yup we all got that too, read a little back into the thread please
@johnark19 That one also means nothing. Try not to stress about it too much. Luckily in less than 3 days and youâll have your decision!
@getaclucy do you know if there is any precedence or truth with rejections/waitlists coming out in the first wave, and then acceptances later in the day in another wave?
@johnark19 I donât think so but Iâm not sure. Last year they released most around the same time I think but this year theyâre doing throughout the day so I doubt it will be separated by acceptance and rejection but more likely geographical region or school. You could go through last yearâs RD thread to double check what they did but honestly I think theyâre releasing differently this year.
also canât access the book store or org sync but can for classes
@goldenhobbes Again, the only thing that means anything is the housing change, not OrgSync and the bookstore
My D has already been admitted from ED and cannot access OrgSync.
@Fishnlines29 Thank you so much, finally more evidence to prove that OrgSync does not mean anything. Thanks!!!
@johnark19 Last year, there were apparently waves but they were not that far apart. Around 1:50 pst, rejections and waitlists came out followed by a mixture of everything including acceptances at 2:00 pst (ten minutes later). This year is probably different though.
@collegesplzz just putting it out there
Hi @AhMesAmis!
I am here for a class assignment, and wanted to let you know that I am a current student at NYU. I wanted to answer your question about Liberal Studies. A few of my friends did not indicate that they wanted to be in the LS program, and they got placed in it. A lot of them said that the LS program was beneficial for them because you basically take two years of core classes. This allows students to explore what they want to do, and later declare their major once they had time to explore. The program is intimate because the faculty to student ratio is really small, and so you really get to connect with your professor.
This was a lot of extra information, but I wanted to answer your question!
Hi @takinpelu!
I am a current student at NYU, and am participating in this forum for a research project. As a student myself, I want to dismiss the notion that NYU is horrible with financial aid. There are many students here that receive adequate financial aid. The university is known for being one of the most expensive schools in the nation, but NYU does encourage affordability through scholarships, financial aid packages, work study, etc. I am able to attend the university because of the financial aid package I received. Donât avoid NYU because of peopleâs preconceived notions on affordability at NYU. Wait until you receive your acceptance and financial aid package to decide!
@College7934 Did you participate in LSP?
guys for my nyu email, it shows Unavailable, does that mean im rejected?
@fatidiot where?
@fatidiot No, it doesnât mean that. No oneâs nyu email actually works until you are accepted and at some point after that, they will send you an email with instructions to activate it.
@nyunyu2017sk Cool!
@Fishnlines29 Hi! I was directly admitted into Steinhardt, but the majority of my friends were accepted into LSP
oh okay thanks @Fishnlines29
