I get “no events scheduled” and I can log into OrgSync as well. Don’t think it means anything, though.
@kingshahhh @nyunyu2017sk orgsync is actually not a sign of acceptance at all. if you look at last year’s discussion forum, people who previously commented that they could access orgsync got rejected/waitlisted. and some people who have already been accepted this year through ED1 or ED2 (for fall 2017) can’t even access orgsync
@pyramichaela I hope so!! we’ll find out in 2 days!
and it’s funny how the ppl who can’t access orgsync, are the first ones to say that it doesn’t mean anything. stop being salty about it lmao
maybe it means something, or maybe it doesn’t, but most of the ppl who could access it last year, got accepted sooo
@KingShahhh Calm down
@KingShahhh Wrong, you can’t prove that. Orgsync does not mean anything. The only thing that means anything is possibly the housing portal (when non renewable undergrad changes to freshman). Please read the thread, since we did prove this earlier.
@italianno I am calm g LOL
@collegeplzz okay, then how come most ppl who could access it from last year’s thread, got accepted?
and why is it that not everyone can access it? it’s weird, and i’m not tryna get my hopes up or anything, but it’s weird that it’s restricted for some ppl, and some ppl can access it
@kingshahhh I have literally talked to multiple people who were ALREADY accepted and they can’t even log into orgsync using their net ID. and no we’re not being salty, we’re just stating an observation as seen in last year’s forum. and the only reason I commented that orgsync isn’t an indication of acceptance is because it would be terrible to have some people assume that they got in through a false indication like orgsync and then be extremely disappointed if they end up being waitlisted/rejected. just my thoughts though! feel free to ignore me/everything I’ve said - this is a discussion forum after all and everyone is allowed to have their own opinions on things!
but I do completely agree that its really weird that some people can access while others can’t. and there seems to be no clear correlation. maybe it has to do with your major/what school you applied to? honestly, this is all just speculation though, but 2 more days!!! we can do this guys
I agree with you, and I’m not tryna get my hopes up or anything, but I just found it weird. I’m just as nervous as you are, and I’m really hoping for some good news. This month has been tough and I’ve faced a lot of crucial rejections, so if this were to be an acceptance, I’d be really happy
If I get into NYU, then I’m forsure going there
@kingshahhh me too! I really really hope we hear some good news in 2 days! I’m so so so nervous but also trying my best to stay hopeful
I’ve been lurking on this thread for a while, and I must say I’ve been entertained. I’ve read all 92 pages of this, needless to say, interesting chat and it seems to me that orgsync does not mean anything, albert is very glitchy, and the only proven indicator of acceptance from last year was the housing portal change. This is just from what I’ve seen from observation. NYU probably has as many internet glitches as the average joe, but seems they are smart enought to prevent key indicators such as orgsync, so ultimately it was proven that it really means nothing. In my opinion, do not feed for hints and clues or think that just because you cant access something means you’re rejected until you get your decision because it just makes us all crazier (I, too, have been constantly doing this everyday and i totally understand and its really been ruining my life, lol). You never know what could happen, and until you get that email you really never know the outcome! Everything will be ok, it seems NYU has taken its fair share of sanity from each of us. You will all end up where you’re supposed to! I know we are all stressed, but its almost over. Good luck to everyone!!!
@cccd1194 yep I agree. Some accepted students from last year even said the housing portal didn’t change until after they got their acceptance so we won’t know for sure until Thursday.
any NYU 2020 people wanna share what their acceptance letters look like? just so we know what to look out for when we open the portal
any rejections or waitlists letters are helpful too!
@takinpelu Last year they emailed decisions, they weren’t in the portal, so it probably won’t look exactly the same. I was accepted to class of 2020, which is how I know this, so people from 2020 won’t know what the portal is going to look like because we didn’t have to access our portal to get our decisions.
