I was recently accepted to NYU under the EDII agreement. I’m worried that I’ll get a C or a D in one class this semester, and I know that NYU said on its acceptance email that you have to maintain the same grades you applied with. I applied with one C on my transcript, but I am still worried about this one class. It is not a class that has anything to do with my major (it’s a math class and I’m majoring in the humanities). Would NYU rescind my acceptance? Would I be put on academic probation during the first semester? Any advice will help. Thank you!
You’re probably fine. Schools really only rescind acceptances if you start failing all your classes and show a very obvious downward trend in behavior, grades, and other factors. So unless you’re getting all Cs, Ds, and Fs, and start receiving a lot of disciplinary action you’ll more than likely be okay. The main thing is they just want to know you continued to make an effort in high school even after you were accepted.
