I read from another post that someone got accepted to GSP with a 1150 on their SAT. I have a 1300 and 3.76/4.00 UW average. Do I seem more like a candidate for GSP or for CAS? ---based on grades alone

bum,p.....please!

I applied to NYU ED too. It's kinda hard to tell from just SAT's and GPA whether you'd be a better fit for GSP or CAS but I think you have a pretty good shot at CAS. GSP is more for kids who exibit outstanding characteristics in either leadership or extracurriculars or whatever and their SAT and grades aren't up to par because of it. So good luck and I think you have a great shot

thanks..well in terms of ecs...i have a lot, especially leadership (about most are) and i also have done girl scouts throughout high school which i'm guessing will help me stand out and be unique (im writing about the Silver award in my essay)...am i right about that?

oh and i didnt apply ED lol....but good luck to you!!!, i know that you guys are finding out soon

bump........

I am applying to CAS ed also. My gpa is 3.5/4.3 at a blue ribbon school,Number 1 in nj. My sats are v600/m730/w760 and my sat IIs are IIc-720 and spanish-600. I also have good ecs. Do you think I have a shot?

I hope they dont put me in gsp because my older sister was accepted into it 2 years ago and is attending.

fifawcs: what school do you go in NJ? Is it bergen academy, by chance?

No. It is Tenafly. We just got some blue ribbon thingy from the US department of education. http://www.ed.gov/programs/nclbbrs/2005/2005-schools.html. I assume we are number 1 in the state considering that we were the only school in NJ to receive it and the representative said we were when she came to our school.
